To celebrate a remarkable 50 years dedicated to his club, Lydney Town FC, a surprise ceremony has bestowed upon Roger Sansom one of the greatest honours any club servant could receive recognition for his outstanding devotion and loyal service.

The clubhouse was filled to capacity with members, colleagues, and friends from across the football community, including representatives from our own League, as Roger was surprised to learn that from this day forward, the ground would proudly bear the name “Sansom Park.”

The Gloucestershire Northern Senior League and the Hellenic League join together in offering their warmest congratulations to Roger on this incredible milestone. His five decades of tireless commitment have helped shape not only Lydney Town FC but also the wider grassroots game in Gloucestershire and beyond.
