  • Hellenic League Enters the Digital Era with Launch of Official Email Domain

Hellenic League Enters the Digital Era with Launch of Official Email Domain

In a significant step forward for communications and operations, the Hellenic Football League is proud to announce the adoption of official @hellenicleague.co.uk email addresses across its executive team and operations. This digital upgrade marks a pivotal moment in the League’s ongoing evolution, reinforcing its commitment to modernisation, efficiency, and transparent communication.

The introduction of this centralised email domain will streamline internal processes, improve response times, and allow for clearer, more consistent engagement with clubs, match officials, media, and supporters. With a dedicated domain, the League enhances its professional footprint and strengthens its ability to serve the game at all levels.

“This is more than just a change in how we send and receive messages,” said a quote from league IT officer Craig Davenport, “It’s a statement of intent. We’re future-facing, committed to progress, and focused on providing a more connected, accessible League for everyone involved in grassroots football. We are timing note of the feed back from member clubs and Match Officials. This is just one step in to a new and semi automated world.”

The new system offers improved security, unified branding, and easier identification of League communications ensuring that messages are authentic and accountable. It also supports the League’s long-term strategy to build stronger digital infrastructure, from improved data management to potential future innovations like integrated fixture updates and digital matchday communications.

With the rollout already underway, clubs, referees, and league partners will begin seeing official correspondence from the new email addresses with immediate effect. This change is part of a wider vision that reflects the League’s dedication to growing the game both on and off the pitch.

As one of the country’s most historic step 5 and step 6 competitions, the Hellenic League continues to honour its legacy while embracing modern tools to enhance its delivery. The move to @hellenicleague.co.uk is not just a technical update—it’s a bold step into the future of football administration.

Emails to take note of that are up and running:

  • Big Moves in the Middle: Promotions, Passion, and a Fierce Fight for the Whistle

Big Moves in the Middle: Promotions, Passion, and a Fierce Fight for the Whistle

As the final whistle blows on one season, another already echoes on the horizon—and what a thrilling off-season it’s shaping up to be for our match officials. This year’s shake-up brings incredible news, with a wave of well-earned promotions and successful assessment day completions. A huge congratulations to those stepping up into new territory: on to Steps 3 & 4, and for some, the iconic leap to Assistant Referee in the National League. This is no small feat—each individual has shown relentless commitment, top-tier performances, and unwavering consistency to get there. Bravo!

But while the spotlight rightly shines on the promoted, this is not a story of commiseration for those moving back to Steps 5 & 6—it’s a proud welcome back. At Level 3, the margins are razor-thin. We’re talking tenths of a point—0.1 could be the difference between climbing the ladder or being reclassified. It’s a cauldron of elite competition, where only around 300 referees nationwide hold the badge. That’s how high the standard is.

Those returning will not be licking their wounds—they’ll be sharper, more experienced, and hungrier than ever. And make no mistake: they’ll be operating at an exceptional level. The target is clear—the climb back to 3 is within reach, and we’re backing them all the way.

And if that wasn’t enough, today’s news from HQ has match officials lacing up and hitting the track—the fitness test dates have officially dropped. Preparation begins now. These tests separate the good from the elite. Imagine this: 40 sprints of 75 metres, each under 17 seconds, with only 22seconds recovery. No excuses. That’s the baseline. Before even that they have 4 gated sprints to complete. And for those heading up? The expectations are even tougher—the times get faster, but the distance doesn’t budge.

This isn’t just pre-season—it’s transformation season. Mental sharpness, physical strength, tactical awareness, and relentless drive are all being forged right now. Added to this the referees will again this season take on Laws of the game exams, as well as FA guided learning throughout the season. And with new Law changes its import our referees know them! Do you??

The 2025/26 campaign promises energy, precision, and a new generation of referees ready to run the line between pressure and poise. One thing is certain: when the stadiums fill and the lights come on, the officials will be more than ready.

Here’s to the movers, the returners, and every official putting in the work behind the whistle. Let the new season begin!

  • BREAKING: Hellenic League Committee Meets to Shape BOLD Vision for 25/26 Season!!

BREAKING: Hellenic League Committee Meets to Shape BOLD Vision for 25/26 Season!!

In a meeting that could shape the very fabric of non-league football in the region, the Hellenic League committee convened this morning to set the wheels in motion for an exciting and ambitious 2025/26 season. Held behind closed doors but charged with energy and forward-thinking debate, today’s session tackled everything from divisional rebranding to strengthening partnerships with key sponsors – and even welcomed fresh faces to the team.

    Foundations for the Future

Top of the agenda was a review of league operations ahead of the Annual General Meeting, where several proposals are expected to be tabled. One of the most intriguing talking points was a potential renaming of one of the league’s divisions, designed to reflect both tradition, progress and its standing. While the exact title remains under wraps, early discussions suggest a name that will honour the league’s proud heritage while engaging a new generation of clubs and fans.

Fresh Blood Joins the Hellenic Family

In a significant move, the committee also announced the appointment of new members of staff to the Hellenic League structure. Described as individuals with “fresh ideas, energy, and a deep-rooted love for grassroots football,” the new additions are expected to bring renewed momentum to league operations, communications, and development initiatives. One insider described the team as “the right people at the right time” to lead the league into a new era.

    Sponsorship: Love and Loyalty

The mood turned celebratory as discussions turned to the league’s sponsors – longstanding supporters who, according to the committee, are “the heartbeat behind the scenes.” With reaffirmed commitments and mutual ambition for growth, the relationship between the Hellenic League and its commercial partners is stronger than ever. Plans are already in motion to roll out new collaborative campaigns that will bolster community involvement and club sustainability across all divisions. Team Registration Now Open – Don’t Miss Out!

One of the most important announcements of the morning came with the confirmation that team registration for the 2025/26 season is now LIVE – and that means Form D is officially open and ready for submission.

Existing clubs are strongly encouraged to get their paperwork in early, and for new clubs looking to join the league’s competitive and ambitious “Division 2”, now is the time to act. With limited spaces and rising interest, this is a golden opportunity to be part of one of the most professionally run leagues.

The Hellenic League prides itself on its unrivalled support for clubs, offering heavily discounted sponsorship packages to help ease the financial pressures of running a team. This isn’t just a league; it’s a committed community built on strong values, high standards, and shared ambition.

We’re not just proud of what we’ve built — we’ll go so far as to say we’re the strongest non-feeder league in the country. Prove us wrong!

The Form D Link will go live on the website at 2100hrs tonight. in the resources section of the new site.

All Roads Lead to the AGM

With proposals flying, pencils scribbling, and ideas bouncing from every corner of the meeting room, today’s gathering was more than just routine planning – it was a declaration of intent. The upcoming League AGM promises to be a pivotal moment, with motions and plans born from today’s discussions ready to take centre stage. One new change is the welcome of the NEW website, that is still in the process of being built, can be found at www.hellenicleague.co.uk and also the new email address system that will be announced soon!

As the Hellenic League prepares to write its next chapter, one thing is clear: change is coming – and it’s packed with passion, purpose, and promise. The 2025/26 season just might be the most exciting yet.

    Stay tuned.

Promotion, Progress, and the Journey Ahead – A Message to Our Match Officials

A huge congratulations to all our Level 4 referees who have earned promotion to Level 3, as well as those invited to the upcoming observation day as part of their continued development.

These achievements are not just based on what happens during the 90 minutes. They are the result of a season’s worth of dedication across multiple areas: on-field performance, monthly Laws of the Game tests, mandatory FA learning modules, club marks, fitness tests, and official match observations. It’s a demanding process—and every one of you should be proud of what you’ve achieved.

We also want to take a moment to acknowledge those who have been reclassified down a level over the past few days. It’s important to remember that progression in refereeing goes both ways—and this is part of maintaining high standards and accountability in our game.

But a setback is not the end. In fact, this year’s Emirates FA Cup Final referee is living proof—having once been reclassified down a level themselves. They used that moment not as a defeat, but as fuel to come back stronger, and now stand on the biggest domestic stage in English football.

So to those facing disappointment: keep working, keep training, and keep believing. Your journey is far from over.

As we now shift into pre-season, fitness tests begin next month and preparation is key. Whether you’re celebrating a promotion, chasing the next step, or rebuilding from a setback—this is your time to push forward.

We are proud of every single one of you. Let’s keep raising the standard.
