Buildbase FA Vase First Round Qualifying - Sunday Games

Another six uhlsport Hellenic League clubs in competition on Sunday.

Kicking off at 2:00 pm was uhlsport Hellenic League Division One Wokingham & Emmbrook against Chipping Sodbury Town of the Toolstation Western League Premier Division, who were destined to be members of the Hellenic Premier this season before winning an appeal to have the decision reversed. Win or lose it was a momentous day for the 'Satsumas' It is the first time in 20 years that The Town’s Team have played in an FA competition back in Wokingham, and the first time ever that Emmbrook Sports & Social Club has played host to this level of Football Association competition! After 90 minutes of play the game was 1-1 and entered to extra time period. In the final stages of the 30 minutes Elliott Rushforth hammered the ball from 20 yards into the keepers right hand corner to take the Suma's through. The remaining teams kicked off at 3pm. One East Chalvey Sports hosted Spartan South Midlands Football League Premier Division side Wembley FC at Arbour Park. The Stabmonks conceded after 39 minutes of play and were unable to respond final score 0-1 to Wembley. Scorers Away: Stefan Ebonine 41
Holyport played another Spartan South Midlands Football League Division Two Unite UK at Summerleaze. Port were 0-2 going in at half time. Andy Forisky put Port back in the hunt 23 minutes into the second half, then parity was restored through Wes Sutherland four minutes later. Forisky added his second of the game and sealed the route for Port scoring the winning goal five minutes before time. At least one Hellenic side was guaranteed a place in the next round with Division One East sides Long Crendon and Langley playing each other. At the end of 90 minutes it was honours even at 2-2. In the following extra time two goals from Crendon's Griggs was only countered by one goal Langley. Final score 4-3. One West Malvern Town took on Local rivals Pershore Town of the West Midlands (Regional) League. The fixture was played at Evesham United so no home advantage could necessarily be claimed by either side. Malvern conceded after 16 minutes and that was the way it stayed until the penultimate minute of normal time, a free kick from Sam Hunt nestled into the net to level the scores. Into 30 minutes of extra time and both teams couldn't find a deciding goal. The game ended 1-1 and will now be replayed at Pershore. Scorers Home: Sam Hunt 89 Away: Griffiths 16
