Shrivenham striker Stephen Robertson has stepped up a level and joined BetVictor Southern League Division One Central side, Kidlington.
Teaming up with his former Wantage Town boss Ben Sadler, Robertson (pictured) has made 19 appearances for Shrivvy, scoring 9 goals to become the sides’ third-top goal scorer this season.
Starting the current campaign at Highworth Town, he scored 4 goals in 8 outings before arriving at Barrington Park and with Kidlington in 16th place in the standings (out of 20), his former manager is banking on the player continuing his fine strike rate to help the Greens climb up the rankings.
The player joined midfielder Jim Glover who signed from Wantage Town and Billy Gillett (North Leigh) as one of the clubs three new signings ahead of their trip to Biggleswade Town at the weekend, but despite Robbo securing a place in the starting line-up, he was unfortunately on the wrong side of a narrow 2-1 defeat.
The player will remain on a dual signing with Shrivenham, but is likely to feature at the higher level for the remainder of the season.
Shrivenham Football Club wish Robbo all the best for the remainder of the season and thank him for his commitment at Barrington Park
