Scott Chilcott has been named as Chris Hurley’s winner of Shrivenham's newly sponsored Hop Kettle Player of the Month award for the club’s First XI as we ended September – the first award of the new season.
Scott featured in all of the side’s fixtures during the opening month of the campaign, but the award is also presented based on the players attitude and contribution to the group at training, as well as the effort shown throughout the month and he received his award ahead of the sides Bluefin Sport Challenge Cup defeat at Malmesbury Victoria on Tuesday evening from newly appointed Coach, Elliott Day.
Hop Kettle Brewery who kindly sponsor both the First XI and Development Player of the Month awards is based locally to the club at Unit 4, Newcombe Drive on the Hawksworth Industrial Estate in Swindon. You can also try their products in Cricklade at the Red Lion or if you can’t get to them – let them get the beer to you via their online shop! To find out more, visit the website at hop-kettle.com.
Jack Hill received the Development award for the same month and with just three scheduled games remaining for both sides this month, supporters won’t have long to find out which players are up for the second award of the season.
