Holmer Green Chairman Rob Shed muses: "Well who knows when the season will start? We are none the wiser following recent advice but hopefully it will be September but perhaps October more likely? "
So what are Holmer doing to get themselves ready for whenever it starts?
Rob (pictured) continues" Off the pitch, throughout the crisis we have been working on the grounds and getting them to a high standard. Dug-outs have been given a refresh, thanks to the chairmans wife and her paint brush! Thanks to support from Sport England and Football Foundation whose help has been very much appreciated for the work to the pitches, they are looking lush! "
"We have also started a complete renovation project on our showers and changing rooms, primarily utilising local tradespeople who have donated their help and support. Despite the financial hardship that some have experienced it is fantastic that people are still prepared to help the Club in this way."
"Inside the Clubhouse the seating has been reupholstered and outside all the fencing and seating has been repainted by more volunteers."
"It is a great story and one that has seen so many people want to help the Club come through this crisis stronger than ever? "
"And of course on the pitch Manager Matt Stowell is determined to start this season with a committed and fit squad ready to take on the competition. Pre season training starts next week, training routines are being practiced, new faces and some old ones are committing to the new challenge. One thing for sure, it will be a different Holmer Green that starts the new season. Can't wait! "
