This morning the chancellor has announced further financial support, specifically for the retail, leisure and hospitality industries which (we believe) those eligible would apply through their local authority.
The one-off top-ups will be granted to closed businesses as follows:
£4,000 for businesses with a rateable value of £15,000 or under
£6,000 for businesses with a rateable value between £15,000 and £51,000
£9,000 for businesses with a rateable value of over £51,000
The statement can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/46-billion-in-new-lockdown-grants-to-support-businesses-and-protect-jobs.
Clubs are encouraged to enquire with their local authorities. We do not have any other information than what is in the statement.
Naturally, we remind clubs that during these times that the government furlough scheme was extended to the end of April for any employee paid through PAYE.
All government financial support for businesses are outlined here: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/financial-support-for-businesses-during-coronavirus-covid-19?priority-taxon=09944b84-02ba-4742-a696-9e562fc9b29d#support-for-businesses-affected-by-coronavirus-restrictions
