Manager Garry Cook is confident of a few new signings, and is looking forward to another successful campaign.

Letcombe first team play in Division Two West of the Hellenic League, and were in pole position when the 2019/20 season was ended. They were also in the semi final of the Faringdon Memorial cup, and are pleased to learn that the organisers are planning to complete the competition, hopefully in August. Letcombe reserves were second in North Berks League Division Three at the time of lockdown, but would have gone top if they had won their games in hand. They also have the semi final of the League Cup to look forward to if it is able to be completed, and manager Mick Cross is approaching the new season with confidence.

Extensive renovation work has been carried out on the pitch under the expert guidance of groundsman Dennis Stock, and it is now in excellent condition. Sponsor Rowes Newsagents have agreed to buy a new set of purple kit for the first team, and the shorts and socks will probably be black.

Everybody at Letcombe Football club is longing for the time when they can safely return to the playing field. These are exciting times at Bassett Road.
