Adderbury Park chairman James Collier believes the uhlsport Hellenic League Division Two North club will struggle to host a home game for a while.
A water course the Sor Brook, which from its source at Edge Hill in Warwickshire flows along the back of the Adderbury playing field to its confluence with the River Cherwel, burst its banks at the weekend.
Collier advises. "We are lead to believe a lock had been opened further up the river to release flooding pressure and this has caused a water surge, which in turn has caused flooding to the field, houses and surrounding area."
"Hopefully it will drain away quickly as we improved the drainage and had verti-drain work on the pitch, but if the weather continues to be poor it will be difficult."
Adderbury were scheduled to play an uhlsport Hellenic League Division Two North home fixture abainst Moreton Rangers Reserves on Saturday November 16. Check FA Full Time for updates on the fixture arrangement.
