Malvern Town FC announce their new management and coaching structure for the 2020/21 season.
They will be operating two teams at under-18 level, one which will compete in the Midland Floodlit Youth League and the other in the Midland Junior Premier League, whilst their reserves now become the Senior Development team and will play in the Hellenic League Division Two North.
The first-team will remain in the Hellenic League Division One West after The FA deemed that no teams would be promoted below Step 2 for the campaign ahead despite us leading the table when 2019/2020 was brought to a premature end in March.
"I am delighted with the hard work and support of the board and existing managers, coaches and backroom support staff in modifying and expanding our staff and team pathway over the past few months,” said Director of Football, Philip Earl. “I'm very confident we now have an unrivalled foundation at our level to address the long-awaited return to competitive football. We all know we have unfinished business from last season's inconclusive termination".
“In addition we now have a comprehensive pathway for young footballers, joining us from our partners at Leigh and Bransford Badgers and any other junior team, to be coached and prepared for senior football, including the first-team for those with talent and determination. The recent weekly phased return sessions have been outstanding with new potential under-18 signings working in small groups with established senior players. I'm looking forward to working with such a talented team very soon.”
