The response to Malvern Town's TARGET 200+ campaign, which launched in the build-up to last weekend’s game, was fantastic with 243 people through the door for our resounding victory over Tytherington Rocks.
The watching public were treated to eight goals and some scintillating football from The Hillsiders as we stormed to second place in the table with an 8-0 win.
Attendances have been on the increase since we returned to the redeveloped HDANYWHERE Community Stadium in November and we are calling upon the local community to turn out in force once again on Saturday as we play host to Bourton Rovers in our latest League encounter (kick-off 3.00pm).
“It’s so inspiring to look around the ground and see all that support,” said co-manager, Dene Whittal-Williams. “We’re getting absolutely brilliant backing from local people and it is really helping to drive the team on. We have the familiar faces who support us home and away no matter what and now they are being joined by some old faces from the past who are being tempted back here and some new faces who are coming along to see what we’re all about."
“It’s great to have everyone part of this journey that we are on. This is a really positive environment and hopefully we can provide the watching public with some entertaining football and an enjoyable matchday experience.
So, the challenge is set. Can we get another crowd of over 200 this weekend? Spread the word to your family and friends and let’s get the place rocking again!
We’ll have a full-colour, glossy Matchday Programme and other merchandise on sale, plus hot/cold food and drink at great prices and all the Sky Sports action on our TV screens. Everyone is welcome!
