Malvern Town FC are delighted to be backing a project to celebrate and showcase local sport at all levels with the launch of a new online publication called MALVERNsport.
It will be a subscription-based magazine covering all sports within the local area as well as giving coverage to forthcoming events, community initiatives, fund-raising and historical features.
A special Free Trial edition will be made available during February to ‘test the water’ ahead of more regular weekly issues starting in the spring.
It is the brainchild of Malvern Town FC Media Director, Andy Poole, who’s responsible for all of our media and marketing output. “There’s a thriving sporting community within the local area, across a wide range of different sports, and we want to provide a platform for everyone involved at every level,” he said. “I believe that there is currently a gap in the market for a publication of this kind, but we can’t do it without you! We need your help, be it by submitting sports-related articles and images with a local theme, purchasing each issue or advertising with us and reaching a captive, local audience. In these troubled times, and during this latest Lockdown, we have decided to make this first issue free of charge for all to give just a flavour of what we are all about and ‘test the water’."
“The aim, later in the year and when we return to a level of normality, is to bring the publication out on a weekly basis. Keep an eye on the MALVERNsport media channels (@MALVERNsport on Twitter and Facebook) for the latest updates. This is an ideal vehicle through which to share our mutual pride and passion for the place we call home and the sport that thrills and entertains us, whether as a player, spectator or official.”
