Champions declared in both the UHL Premier Division and the UHL Division One. Massive congratulations to Premier Division Champions Slimbridge and Division One Champions FC Stratford.
The Isuzu FA Vase semi-finals second leg took place last Saturday and UHL Premier Division Hallen who were 3-0 down from the first leg travelled away to play AFC Stoneham of the Velocity Wessex League Premier Division. AFC Stoneham scored a further 3 goals v Hallen’s 1 and duly won 6-1 on aggregate. They go on to face Cockfosters in the Final at Wembley. Hallen had a great journey in the Cup and deserve a massive congratulations for the progress they made.
In the UHL Premier Division last Saturday, league leaders Slimbridge travelled to play-off contenders Cirencester Town and were beaten 2-0. 2nd place Worcester Raiders hosted Fairford Town and were beaten 1-0, Roman Glass St George had no game, Droitwich Spa travelled to Longlevens and won 1-0, Corsham Town hosted Pershore Town and also won 1-0. Cinderford Town and Hereford Pegasus shared a high scoring 4-4 draw, Tuffley Rovers travelled to Cribbs and despite scoring in the 6th minute had to settle for a 1-1 draw. Mangotsfield United v Royal Wootton Bassett Town ended in an entertaining 2-2 draw, Highworth Town travelled to Westfields and lost 2-1, Thornbury Town hosted bottom club Lydney Town and won 1-0. On bank holiday Monday, top placed Slimbridge travelled to Tuffley Rovers and despite going 1-0 down and then 2-1 down came back to win 3-2, duly sewing up the Premier Division Title. 2nd placed Worcester Raiders travelled to near-by Pershore Town and won 2-1, Roman Glass St George hosted near neighbours Cribbs and won 2-0 to leapfrog Droitwich Spa into 3rd place, Droitwich Spa hosted Hereford Pegasus in a repeat of the UHL Challenge Cup Final and lost 5-3 in an 8-goal thriller in which Pegasus’s Jordan Williamson scored 4 goals. Cirencester Town travelled to Hallen and won 1-0, Corsham Town hosted Fairford Town and won 1-0 with a 94th minute winner, Cinderford Town hosted Lydney Town in the Forest Derby and won 4-0, Mangotsfield United v Thornbury Town in the Bristol Derby finished 1-1, Highworth Town made the short journey to Royal Wootton Bassett Town and won 4-2, Longlevens v Westfields ended 0-0. We now await the play-offs and which teams will secure their places with massively important games still to play to see who from the current 2nd placed to the current 6th placed team finish in those 4 play-off places.

In UHL Division One on Saturday, one of the results of the season saw league leaders FC Stratford travel to bottom club Thame United Reserves and lose 1-0. Wantage Town hosted Shortwood United and won 4-3 in a 7-goal thriller, Bewdley Town hosted Newent Town and lost 2-1, Stonehouse Town made the long journey to Alcester Town and lost 2-0, Malmesbury Victoria hosted Cheltenham Saracens and won 1-0, In-form Brimscombe & Thrupp hosted Wellington and won 5-1, Redditch Borough made the long trip to Clanfield 85 and lost 3-1, Ludlow Town hosted Woodford United and won 3-2, Carterton travelled to Chipping Sodbury Town and won 3-2. On Monday, FC Stratford returned to winning ways and won the Title with a 3-1 away win v Alcester Town. Wantage Town travelled the short distance to Carterton and the game ended 1-1, Bewdley Town hosted Ludlow Town and drew 0-0, Stonehouse Town also returned to winning ways and beat Wellington 4-0 at home with Josh Beadle hitting a 2nd half hattrick. Cheltenham Saracens v Malmesbury Victoria ended 1-1, Newent Town hosted Shortwood United and lost 1-0, Redditch Borough hosted Woodford United and won 2-0, Clanfield 85 added to their Saturday win by beating Thame United Reserves 1-0. On Wednesday we had a 2-2 draw in the Redditch Borough v Shortwood United game. On Thursday, we had some crucial games which saw Bewdley Town travel to Newent Town and win 4-1 and we also saw Malmesbury Victoria host Brimscombe & Thrupp and win 3-0. As in the Premier Division, places in the play-offs are being competed for until the end of the season. Getting the results to finish in either 2nd or 3rd place and then play at home is a defining factor also.
In the Alliance East on Saturday, Headington Amateurs travelled to Ardley United Res and won 6-0. In mid-week, Banbury United FC Dev travelled to Ardley United Res and won 5-2.
In the Alliance West in mid-week, Bourton Rovers Dev travelled to Clanifield (85) Res and won 3-1. UDA Glos Dev travelled to Newent Town Dev and won 1-0.
