Abingdon United 1 Purton 2 (away view)
Purton completed a league double over Abingdon United with a 2-1 win on Tuesday night, all three goals coming from penalty kicks.
Purton lost Joe Dorey and Joe Herbert with knee and shoulder injuries and had five players yellow carded, and one red carded rather harshly. While Abingdon United had three players also yellow carded, it was not a dirty game but very competitive and sadly officiated poorly on the night.
It took till the last 20 minutes for the goals to come. The home side notched their penalty after 70 minutes Graham Bryan converting only for Purton substitute Olly Hunt to net two spot kicks, one on 75
minutes and in added on time to give Purton three well earned points against a competitive Abingdon outfit.
Purton manager Justin Miller was delighted with his sides showing as not many sides have taken points at Abingdon this season, but disappointed by the number of players who received cards on the night
