Reserves Manager Position - 18 January

Woodstock Town are preparing the ground work to run a reserve team next season, with the intent of entering the side into Division 2 of the Uhlsport Hellenic League.

The first priority is to appoint a person to work alongside the First team manager with the development younger players so they can progress within the football structure of the club.

High Flyers To Land In Woodstock - 28 October

Woodstock Town take on high flying Fairford Town at home this weekend and manager Matt Pike is looking for a positive result.

Pike has been working hard this last week in bring players to the Division One West club to strengthen his squad. Max Dunmall and Conor Barrett both previously with the now defunct Premier Division club Carterton, have had their regsitrations transferred to Woodstock. Jamie Fisher has joined from Kidlington, also signed are Russell Benwell and James Wright.


New Road Improvements - 16 September

Woodstock Town welcome Shortwood United Reserves to New Road tomorrow for a Division One West encounter.

It will be a welcome break from the ground work for the vice chairman, with more being carried out today to get complete before the game and with the floodlight plans being put forward all looking good of the field for Woodstock Town.

Matt Pike is looking forward to the game after a break last week Matt Pike as a  full squad to pick from which includes  three new signings this week included in the squad

 

First Away Game Of Season - 26 August

Woodstock Town make their first trip of the season with a short journey along the the A34 to Abingdon United for the team’s first away game this season.

After a good team performance last weekend with a win over New College the team are in good sprits with a full squad to pick from manager Matt Pike will seeking for the same result, to take into the home game on Monday against Shrivenham

Keeper Returns - 19 August

Goalkeeper Darren Booker has returned to Woodstock Town after four seasons away, and goes straight into the team against New College.

The last time Darren was at the club was when Woodstock had a very good run in the FA Vase of which the returning keeper was a very important part of the team.

Also into the squad this week are Richard Brooks, Frank Harrison, Kieron O’Dwyer who all return from vacations.

Manager Matt Pike say's he as a full squad to choose from and will be looking for a solid team performance this weekend against a fit and youthful New College team.

Just Woodstock Town - 12 August

With the club changing its name from Old Woodstock Town to this season Woodstock Town the committee and Manager are hoping for a better season this time round.

With the club being placed in Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One West, also for the first time Woodstock Town have a ladies team for the coming season

The committee are happy to say that both Matt Pike and Nathan Lewis after taking over the team towards the end of last season have agreed to carry on this season and have started to put together a young squad, so with the floodlights application being put forward again and the rest of the ground improvements times are looking good for the club.

Matt is looking forward to the challenges ahead and to the start of the season with a good team performance against Cheltenham Saracens

Managers Commit To Woodstock - 4 June

Woodstock Town (formerly Old Woodstock Town) are happy to say that Matt Pike and Nathen Lewis have committed to the club for the coming season, Both are very much looking forward to the new season.

Woodstock Town start training on 28th June at New Road Woodstock starting at 6.30pm

Players Old and new are welcome to attend training at the club who are looking at also running a reserve team and hope to have a under 17’s team this coming season.
