First Ever Berks & Bucks Final For Woodley - 16 February

Last weekend saw Woodley United defeat current Berks & Bucks FA Intermediate cup holder Risborough Rangers of the Spartan South Midlands Football League Division One (Step 6) in the Semi Final of the Intermediate cup.

In a closely thought contest, neither side could break through either defences with the game finishing 0-0 and no extra time in the competition meant the game would be decided by the lottery of penalties.

Alex Reed proved to the hero for United saving two penalties as they won 4-2 with centre back Joe Barley scoring the decisive 4th kick to spark wild scenes.

United will face high-flying Marlow United of the Thames Valley Premier League with a date and venue still to be announced, both clubs are hoping for a local final which will mean a good crowd will come to watch.
