Stevenson Coach At Milton - 9 May

Milton United are pleased to announce that Rich Stevenson has agreed to come on board as a player/coach for the new season.

Rich brings heaps of experience in the Uhlsport Hellenic league and was in charge at fellow Division 1 West side Cheltenham Saracens for the first half of the season.

Rich joins Tim Davies and Craig Griffiths on the coaching side at Milton and is already looking forward to the new challenge.

Milton United are still looking for a physio to join the team, with its own physio room and equipment within the club this is a good opportunity for anyone wishing to take the role on. Please contact Tim Davies on 07798844294

 

Opportunities At Milton - 3 May

With the new management team set in place, Uhlsport Hellenic League Division One Milton United are now looking to recruit new players and coaching staff for next season.

We are looking for players who desire to play a good standard and style of football, and can support this with good commitment levels.

Pre-season starts Tuesday 13 June, pre season friendlies are already in place.

New Management Team - 25 April

Tim Davies and Craig Griffiths have agreed to become the new Management team of Milton United for the 2017/18 Uhlsport Hellenic League season.

Tim and Craig took over the First Team until the end of the season when Marcus Brown departed in February, the duo have been tasked with establishing a team style of play and work ethic that had dwindled throughout the first half of the season.

Tim (right) has been working with the club's youth teams in the past few years, after leaving his local side Garsington FC, Tim had also taken a more prominent role at the club in the last year in the style of Director of football.

Craig 'Griff' Grififiths (left) is a long serving player at the club, joining as youth team player - all of 16 years ago - and spent the majority of his playing career at United interspersed with spells at Conference side Yeading, Didcot Town, Wallingford Town and Harwell International.

The chairman and committee members are fully behind Tim and Craig and their ideas for the new season and with the new development of the clubhouse going ahead in the near future, things are very positive around the club.

 

Continued Sponsorship - 17 June

Milton United are pleased to announce that MEPC (Milton Park Oxfordshire) have agreed to continue its sponsorship of the club for the 2016/17 season.

They will be sponsoring the first team tracksuits, along with new goal nets for the club.

The club look forward to working along side them in the new season and beyond.

Milton Management - 9 May

Milton United have confirmed the appointment of their Management Team for the 2016-17 Season.

Marcus Brown has taken over from Paul Bedwell as the Manager. Marcus was part of the Management Team that won the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East Title in 2014 and secured promotion to the Premier League.

Tom Austin and James Hicks will be the First Team Coaches. Both Tom and James are co-owners of Serious4Sport coaching. 

Tom has coached in America and played at Southern League level for Abingdon United. He has also played for Wantage Town, Witney and Kidlington. He has been a Milton player since 2014.

James is a talented sportsman who has also played for a number of local clubs and has achieved a BA Honours Degree in Football Studies at Southampton.

They are joined by Matt Biddle as first team and club captain. An experienced and well respected player Matt has also played at Southern League level and has won the Hellenic League with Wantage Town. Matt has also been at Market Drayton, Hednesford and Milton. Assisting Marcus will be Tim Davies who provided support to the first team at the end of last season.

Milton Chairman Andy Burchette commented. "I think we have just the right balance of experience and talent in this new set up. It is hard to ignore each individual’s enthusiasm to want to get involved and step up to management and coaching. Each one of the team is well known to us and we feel that as such these guys deserve an opportunity. The vlub is confident that not only will they take it on, but they could very well be successful”.
